Moment over Time Records Proudly Presents:

The Possible Impossibility of Walking Besides Time

a.k.a The Impossible Possibility of Walking Besides Space

There is no touch. Touching is an abstraction of an illusion. You may be surprised by disbelief. Let me phrase this in other words. We are all made of atoms. We and everything around us, everything around the everything that is around us, everything around the everything that is everything around the everything that is around us… I can hear you confirming your knowledge on atomic formation of the universe. I can even hear you questioning the relevance of recalling this knowledge. Please be patient and walk along with me, I assure you pleasure from Chemistry even Quantum Physics.

The text is the third part of the series Moment over Time Records, is commissioned for Kirstine Roepstorff’s exhibition catalogue published on the occasion of her solo exhibition entitled Walking Besides Time at Kunstpalais, Erlangen.

Walking Beside Time
In ‘Walking Beside Time’, Kirstine Roepstorff comes to grips with the interaction of space, time and sound. In her collages and space installations she fragments visible reality, dissolving it into formlessness in order to then give it a new shape. In doing so, the artist is not concerned with transience, but with the simultaneity of the past, present and future. Through the intentional staging of the individual objects, the deliberate lighting and the closed concept of the whole, she has created a fascinating artistic synthesis in ‘Walking Beside Time’.
