This Tour has been put together in collaboration with Fatos Ustek, who will be joining us for the trip. Fatos is an independent art critic and curator, currently living and working in London.
WHW (What, How and for Whom?), curatorial collective, are curating the 11th Istanbul Biennial titled ‘What Keeps Mankind Alive’ around ideas of globalisation and capitalism. The tour addresses to articulate the biennial and its position within Istanbul, while visiting other significant art institutions, commercial galleries, artist run spaces, and artist studios. Thus an image of the current art scene in Istanbul will flourish through various encounters that are scheduled with active protagonists of the Istanbul.
